Got my rejection letter in the mail today also... I was relieved, I just wanted the waiting to be over! Congrats to everyone who made the cut. I'm disappointed, as I have no idea what they wanted... 3.7 from UT and alot of other good stuff should count for something, in my opinion. Oh well.

Come on guys? Did nobody get the letter today???

I live in West Coast and my mailman is not here yet ..

So i was just curious about others
CANT WAIT!!!

Got my reject letter today...I have to decide now whether i want to go to GWU or The University of Maryland, any advice out there?

Here are my stats in another thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=338690

I DID NOT GET A LETTER TODAY..

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo DISSAPOINTED

How much longer do i have to wait?

I did not get a letter either. This is madness!

Hey, did u all get ur decisions??? I STILLLLL have not received mine. Please let me know.

you can call in now

i got in last week through mail

Congrats CLINTON,
What school did you get in and where from if you dont mind me asking.
Good luck to you

the College as a Political Economy major from UMiami. Freshman transfer, and i'm from NY, I didn't expect it, but i'm a guaranteed transfer to ILR at Cornell so i'm still deciding

I was all set on going to Rice until i got my waitlist letter from Gtown. Gtown had been my dream school early in high school, but the dream had kind of eroded over time after hearing all about the somewhat conservative, preppy "beautiful people" who participate in the "hookup scene" at Gtown and are generally a pretty homogenous preprofessional group. I am a pretty decent looking fellow, and i am not averse to the occasional hookup, but this description makes georgetown sound like a higher ranked verison of my present school, something i'm trying to get away from. Is that characterisation fair. If not, how would you characterize gtown, taking for granted that traces of the aforementioned scene do indeed exist. Should i just stick with rice, or is there more to gtown that i'm thinking?

I was recently accepted to Georgetown as a second-year transfer, however the sky-high cost of attendance is weighing pretty heavily on me as I make my final decision. I'm presently attending UCLA and when you consider the calibre of education I am getting for the price I am paying, it really is a phenomenal deal. So much so that it leads me to question whether Georgetown is worth the price tag. Any thoughts?

how much of your financial need are they matching?

Just wondering if the package was slim due to a high EFC or what

They're scrambling to get my award letter together prior to the enrollment deadline. But, based on my parents' income and my finaid package at UCLA, I most likely will not qualify for need-based scholarships, grants, the perkins loan, or workstudy; stafford/plus and private loans only.

Georgetown was my first choice school as I was applying to colleges this yr. However, I didn't get admitted.

I will be attending Washington and Lee University in VA this coming fall and I was wondering how soon can I apply as a transfer to Gtown?? Also, what GPA range would be acceptable?

Thanks

Alright. I was accepted as a transfer into McDonough, I'm transferring in as a junior. I was wondering how fluid or concrete the concentrations are? I declared as a management focus when I applied... does that even matter or can I take whatever classes I want and change my concentration if I so choose? Also, can you take whatever classes/pick up whatever minors you want from the college?

Kyle, Dashing, and to everyone else in the process of making a decision regarding whether to attend Georgetown in the fall...

I HIGHLY recommend visiting the campus, (if you can swing it in time), meeting with the Transfer Dean, as well as any other deans that might apply to your specific school/major, touring the campus, checking out the neighborhood, etc.

My visit last week was crucial, and I can't stress how much of an important role it played during my final decision process! :)

If you cannot visit, I would definitely get in touch with a Dean directly to answer your specific questions...

I still haven't received anything, and I really don't want to call them (suppose I'll have to). I'm probably still going to Barnard, regardless of whether I'm accepted...but I'd like to know.

Anyone else still not gotten anything?

so, what was the outcome?? i hope that people got good news! :)
