md-
my sister got her acceptance letter last year in a standard envelope, with only 2 sheets of paper. she actually got it pretty late June 13th, to SFS.

Wow Pitt, I think that is really good that adcomm contacted you....nobody else here has, at least that I have read...Congrats

yep I'm applying as a sophomore transfer.. I'm actually not sure if I've posted stats before.. but basically I have a 3.7 gpa from UT-Austin, 2100 SATs, very good high school record with 3.8 gpa, and a ton of political/communications extracurriculars which is what I want to do. I would be stoked if I got in, but we'll see...

I actually was contacted by the adcomm yesterday because they said they didn't have my transcript. I requested that one be sent from UT in JANUARY lol. So today I have to go over to the transcript office, get one, and fax it over all myself since UT doesn't even fax transcripts. Grr... but I am excited about being contacted! I'm gonna try not to read too much into it though..

sounds like we are about on par pink. i also think its positive that they contacted you. at least they are trying to be fair and thorough if nothing else. it's hard not to read into it, i definitely know. ugh i just wish we could all find out good news!

what college are you applying to?

im applying to the college as a government major, like everyone and their mom. lol

Medieval studies major for me.

Biochem for me...

Got a email from adcomm stating that the never got a "Professor's Report"...so now i have to check back with him and get it quick cause they want it either emailed or faxed

Something's telling me that all of our transfer application stuff got lost in the freshmen shuffle..

Hey everyone,

I did my interview and I know that my interviewers report was due on April 15th so that should be turned in already. I just got an e-mail last night saying that they've misplaced my college transcripts and want me to have another official copy sent (along with an unofficial copy sent via fax). So at least they are looking at something!

ALSO, I got an acceptance letter for GW tonight! Yay! It's not my first choice (GU is) but it's still a good sign, right? Bad part is that I didn't see any financial aid packet but I'm hoping maybe they come separately? Is this a stupid hope? Probably....

My deposit for enrollment is due at GW by May 9th. How am I supposed to respond if I don't hear back from GU by then? How is everyone handling this problem? I think I'll call GW and ask for an extension and then call GU and ask their advice. Honesty should be the best policy. GU is my first choice but if I don't get in I don't want to screw myself elsewhere.

Did anyone else have any creative ideas?

Smile darling, what is ur STATS.?.....how many colleges did u apply to??

HAS ANYONE heard anything from G-town? ANYTHING???

Several of us have, telling us that things are missing in our apps.

thats weird, they never called me or said anything to me, just the interview and thats all! AF_transfer, where else did u apply to? b/c deadline for other schools is way earlier.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you were contacted about an interview? I asked the admissions office at Georgetown about the interview, and they told me that it depends on either availability of interviwers, or that there may not be interviewers in the area.

Thats what they told me. don't worry if you didn't get an interview.

yeh, but didnt they send u a slip for the interview? or maybe only to the available people. I dont know.

Nope, I got nothing. I called about the interview, and they said that they either didn't have interviewers available, or they simply didn't have time to get to me. I from the bay area, which has a substantial population, so that caused me concern. The admin official gave me the e-mail of someone in admissions who could give me an idea of where I stand, but I'm kinda supersticious at this point.

Hey guys, I'm applying to the College as a double major in biology and psychology. I was contacted for an interview earlier this month which went really well. :)

I honestly believe the interview request depends on your geographical location in combination with the availability and willingness of the alumni in your area to conduct additional interviews for transfer students after the wave of prospective freshmen. If you check old posts, there were transfer students admitted last year that were not requested for an interview.

I had contacted the Admissions Office last week; the representative was only able to confirm receipt of my Personal Data Form and mentioned the Admissions Department would contact any students missing important documentation such as transcripts, application essays, etc.

So, in conclusion, if you haven't been contacted, don't sweat it, I don't think it is a bad sign. :)

Good luck everyone. :)

mattsf, tonya is right, "Dont sweat it." I know people who didnt get interviews and still got in...its all about the whole package...WOW! isnt this stressful guys? so...to what schools are u guys applying to at GU??? post ur stats if u like.

my sister got in to SFS last year as a transfer w/out an interview. So dont worry about it!! now im applying to the College as a transfer and im so NERVOUS!! i have a 3.81 first semester and 4.0 right now. BUt yes YTA4, I have never been more stressed out in my entire life!
