GEORGETOWN,UNC,UIUC,MICHIGAN,NW,RICE,VANDY,ND,EMORY,USC-DESPERATE PLEASE CHANCE ME PLEASE

Hi there! It's my first time posting on here so I'm a little nervous... but here it goes!
Okay, so I already applied to five schools early action.
My number one was Georgetown, but I didn't have an interview and my sat2 scores were awful (math2 700, ush 620, physics 570... man I shouldn't have started cramming the week before; but I'm not going to send these scores to anywhere else) so I think my chances are pretty low.
I also applied to University of Michigan, UNC-Chapel Hill, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
So please chance me for the schools I already applied to! I know the results come soon, but I'm just really nervous and I don't know... Thank you!

ACT-33
GPA- 3.767 (UW) 4.361 (W)
rank-23/357

Freshman yr: 4 honors
Sophomore yr: 4 honors 1 AP
Junior yr: 4 AP 2 honors
Senior yr: 4 AP 1 honors

AP scores: Macroecon (4), Bio (3), Calc AB (5), lang (4), ush (4)

Activities:
Theater (9) Soccer (9)
Academic Team (10) Link Leader (10, 11)
Tennis (JV10, Varsity11, 12) Key club (9, 11, 12)
NHS (inducted like end of Junior yr, mostly senior yr thing)

Work: waitress all four years
Volunteer: library (but not many hrs)

I'm an Asian female in IL. As you can see I don't have many activities/ no leadership and my scores aren't that high...sigh

I need to choose a few more colleges to apply to and right now, I have Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Rice, Notre Dame, Emory, USC in mind. They're all hard for me I know but please tell me your honest opinion. Thanks :)

Oh and I don't really get the reach, match kinda terminology so please help me out?

You have no safeties on that list. Rethink your schools. You could get rejected from all of those schools on your list.

thank you so much for commenting- i really agree with you
the regular decision deadline is in 29 days and I thought i should rethink about my choices, but I cannot think of any other schools… do you have any suggestions?
i’m looking for a private university and it can be anywhere in the country.
do you think i have a chance in any of the schools mentioned?

oh and to break down my ACT (English 34, Math 33, Reading 33, Science 33)
and I won some honors such as AP scholar with distinction, IL State Scholar, Prairie State Achievement Award
and I’m planning to major in biology with a pre-med focus.

You’re definitely in competition, but someone can have great scores like that and just not get in, that’s the crazy things about these schools. Maybe apply to a safety that you would really like and then just hope for the best! I’ll be rooting for you!

thank you so much! that was really encouraging thank you
i think university of illinois-urbana champaign is my safety since i’m in-state and i’ve seen people get in with my scores and ec’s. do you think u of i can be my safety or no?
do you have any suggestions for more of a safe school?

Bump

I think uiuc is your match/safety. Yes. But everything else… cross your fingers

I think you should really consider adding some more schools that are within range of safety. While all those schools are possible thanks to your challenging curriculum, in which you did will, and test scores they are still reaches/high matches.

Bump

I would try to cut down on your reaches - perhaps pick your favorite four (Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Michigan, USC) and then add more match schools like BC, Wake Forest, Lehigh, and some safer schools like Syracuse, Delaware, and Maryland, and in-state schools.
