Georgetown University Regular Decision Class of 2019 Thread

I live in Central NJ… any chances that my letter comes today?

Mmmhmmm @khaleesi79

Only time I’ve been frustrated mail doesn’t deliver on Sunday…

@khaleesi79 in december they sent out decisions on thursday too. A lot of people, including me, received letters on saturday (I live in NJ too and even had friends in upstate NY get their letters). really hoping we hear today!

Anybody get a phone call yet? I read on the Georgetown sight they have a entire group of volunteers that make the calls. This is the same group that tours students.
Anyone accepted or denied post brief stats (SAT, GPA, location). Thank you!

@college‌momjam I did some snooping on @dhizzy’s posts and found that he lives in NJ.

Maybe some hope for me to receive my letter today in PA then??? So excited/nervous!!

Live in NYC, no mail here today

$0.69 postage on a Georgetown envelope! Waiting for son to open when he gets home.

Southcentral PA.

@collegemomjam‌ Sorry for the slow response. I’m from Northern NJ, right across the Hudson River from NYC.

Received wait list notification for MSB in regular mail this morning in Pittsburgh!! There goes that dream! According to enclosed data 0 students got in to business school last year off of wait list. Was deferred EA so my chances were slim I guess - Ugh!! Oh well still have UVA and CMU so I am happy for 2 great schools!

Son just received a 69 cent letter - accepted. Good luck!

Casually sitting in my room with a 101 degree fever and staring out the window as I wait for the mail to come.

@rivn218 do you mind posting your stats?

@dhizzy those are some amazing stats…I’m sure my daughter has no shot based on them rejecting you. Good luck I’m sure whereever you end up going will be a fabulous choice and they will be very very lucky to have you!

I’m leaving town early Monday morning and won’t be back until April 7th. If I were to email Georgetown admissions, would they be willing to release their admissions decision electronically?

@collegemomjam‌ Thank you. If I had any major weaknesses it was probably my second recommendation and my 680 CR score. I know that Gtown doesn’t consider the writing score which would’ve helped me. Good luck to your daughter.

“19,500 applicants for 1,580 available spaces.”

@Shoshonte‌ was your son accepted or rejected?

That’s 8.1%!? Wasn’t their acceptance rate like 17%?

Girlfriend just got her letter. Near the orange line stops in MD, 20 mins out of DC.
