nope, you’re good

Yeah they don’t require it and I think decisions may come out before the semester ends for some students

When did you receive your decision? Website says June 1, but I’ve heard they do “rolling” admissions. Most Ivies notify by May 15, so wondering if the June 1 is a bit of padding.

if you look at previous years, there seems to be a weekly roll-out from late april to throughout may, june is definitely just for them to be safe on their end

I’m so impatient I just wanna know

do you guys think a lot of people applied?

same!!! I be checking the application portal everyday lol

I think in previous years decisions started coming out the last week of April and then were sorta randomly released after then.

Hey y’all!

I keep on hearing that transfer decisions usually come out mid-April? How do we know that?

Also big congrats on everyone’s high SAT/ACT scores, mine falters in comparison, so if you are scrolling through and feel the same, don’t worry we are all awesome in our own ways and never ever compare yourself to other people, that isn’t healthy don’t do that!

I have been looking at past forums (2019) here for transfers and usually they start commenting their decisions around mid or late April.

do you guys think more people applied this year? cus my friend who wasn’t going to apply, and her application was past the deadline, they emailed her saying to apply and that they extended the deadline to a later date in march. So maybe they did that for a lot of people and that decisions might come out later than tht.

Hi. Do you know what the extended deadline was? I kept reading that they got a record amount of applications this year. Perhaps they extended the transfer deadline for stats purposes so they can say they’re more competitive than they truly are.

for anyone that’s had an interview, what were the questions like? I know it’s gonna switch from one alum to the next but just was wondering what your experience was

Yes. Here is a copy of the email:
From a review of your file earlier today, we have not yet received the second part of your Transfer Application, specifically the Georgetown University Transfer Application Supplement, due March 1st.

Given the current environment and the many challenges facing students this application year, we will continue to accept submission of the Transfer Application Supplement through Monday, March 15, 2021. Submission of your Supplement through March 15th will not put your application at any disadvantage

it’s so weird because it’s a really competitive university. Who would of that they would extend it.

I had a very incredible interview experience. Usually, I always leave interviews feeling down and that I could have said something or worded something different. But my interviewer was extremely kind and made an effort to make me feel comfortable/calm any nerves. They mentioned that the point of the interview was to add stuff to the application that wasn’t already included in the one we turned in. They made it seem that these interviews are a casual convo just trying to get to know us better. I think georgetown tells their alums to keep it casual and make it seem like a regular convo rather than a rigorous and intense job interview based on what I’ve read on forums. They asked me my reasons for transferring, why georgetown, what my weekly schedule was like, what orgs at georgetown interest me, and if I wanted to add something that wasn’t already mentioned that they could add in my review. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. If you didn’t get an interview, do not worry because it doesn’t hurt your chances and it’s just to maybe add or explain things not mentioned in your app, which you can still do by providing an application update through the portal! So, if you didn’t get one and want to explain/add something to your app, I’d say maybe look into that part of the portal  good luck everyone! Did anyone else have a similar experience?

Hey everyone. Thought I’d share this: I have a financial obligation rn that makes finding out about admissions decisions ASAP super super helpful. Gtown usually offers an “early read” process so I emailed them and this is what they replied: “Thank you for your email and for your interest in Georgetown. The admissions committees are only in the beginning stages of transfer application review. It may be possible to provide a “leaning” of an admissions decision perhaps in May. Please reach back out to our office in about a month, in case we have the opportunity at that time to provide more admissions decision information at that time.” Not sure if they’re saying such a late date because of a high volume of applicants or something but kinda not great :frowning:

Dang that’s later than I thought  hopefully they are just being precautious with dates and it’s released earlier
