<p>Students that do not speak English as a first language are treated a little more leniently on the SAT CR. There’s no way Tech would accept an 1130 SAT unless that was the case (or unless he’s a 4-star football recruit).</p>
<p>That was his weighted GPA. The Freshman Index uses the Unweighted GPA. A 4.1 W GPA probably translates to a 3.4 - 3.5 UWGPA. </p>
<p>3.5 * 500 + 1130 = 2880. There’s no way he would get in (let alone get in early) with those scores. Even a 3130 FI probably wouldn’t get in early (but may get in RD). This is clearly a ■■■■■.</p>
