Georgia Tech Stats of Admitted

Just wanted to start a thread of any other people that got admitted to the wonderful college of GT!
29 ACT
4.0uw/4.446w
5/584 class rank

Howdy. I just got my letter this weekend! I applied for the EE major. Stats:

SAT: 750V, 780M
SATII: Math IIC 750; Writing 760; Bio 800
ACT 33 (34 Reading, 35 Math) (Messed up Sci...)
GPA: 3.97 uw, 4.44 w
10/107 class rank (competitive high school...quite a few brilliant guys)

Hey, does anyone know when we'll find out about the Presidential Scholarships? I didn't get any information regarding whether or not I was accepted for any amount.

I was told that the notification for semi-finalists would be on December 15th, so watch out for that. Good Luck too!

I applied with a 1370 SATs and 3.5 GPA

I got accepted GA Tech.

SAT: 660 V; 780 M
SAT II's: (at the time I applied) 660 Writing; 750 Physics; 780 IIC
GPA: 4.3
EC's: Soccer captain, math team captain, student government, GA governor's honors program, national honors society, etc.

I was admitted a week or two ago.

3.9 uw/4.23 w/ranked 5 of 524/1600/800/750/750
Several EC's - musical, athletic, academic, etc.

They called me yesterday about the President's Scholarship to let me know I was a semi-finalist. I know someone who also got a letter on Friday saying that they weren't a semi-finalist. So, it should be very soon (not "after December 15th" like the app says.)

I received my letter today; I didn't qualify for the Presidential Scholarship but I'm pretty sure I've been accepted.. I mean, they come out and say "Your acceptance for Georgia Tech is proof of your strong record of achievement yadda yadda yadda.." so I'm assuming that I'm in.

Out of state female from private all-girls Catholic school

3.9 UW/4.2 W GPA (but at the time I sent my app I think it was 3.8/3.9.. not sure)

1380 SAT (670V/710M)

Lots of ec's and leadership activities.. whatever

Congrats to everyone that's been accepted, and extra congrats to those who are semi-finalists! Awesome job, guys!

how many semi-finalists are chosen?

My letter said of 4,788 eligible applicants (completed application by Oct. 31), 450 were selected to be semi-finalists.

I haven't received an acceptance letter but I assumed and then had confirmed that if you are a semi-finalist you are accepted (makes sense, huh?).

-Out of state male at large public high school (South Carolina)
-3.96 UW GPA/4.94 W GPA (SC has really weird Uniform Grading Scale)

-SAT I: M-740 V-720
-SAT IIs: US History-800, Math IIC-780, Chem-800, Writing-780
-Lot's of ECs and leadership related with academic/science teams

I'm in-state and i applied middle of November; my friend has received several letters from gatech saying he'll receive his confirmation "sometime between now and March"...

Anyone know when i'll receive mine?? The vagueness of the Georgia Tech Adcom is killing me right now...

sticking with the topic or this thread, look at my stats.

So I finally got my acceptance packet from Georgia Tech today!

It was a big, thin envelope that said "Congratulations, You're a Yellow Jacket!" with a background of Atlanta and fireworks.

Who else has gotten one?

me--- I have.

Did any of you get an email about your acceptance? I got it and found it wierd...... It was like one of their advertisements......

I will still wait for the envelope and suppress my feelings of happiness........

Cameron Crazy! We meet again:) Haha...I'm applying RD to GT

Anyhow, got mine today.

-Really tough courseload though
-Applied Aerospace Engineering (Only school where I chose engineering)
-ECs- Origami. Science Bowl. Some others.
-Essay- I used my origami essay, but replaced the second half with some corny challenge thing.

Not a Semifinalist.

My first acceptance, so I'm really happy!

By the way, it is not a thick envelope (And I didn't even notice those words on the outside...)

Did you guys apply regular? When did you apply?

I don't think there is really an early action/decision program or anything, just a deadline for consideration for in the President's Scholarship Program which was Oct. 31...that's when I applied.

Just replying with an update on my situation: I got a letter recently saying that I'm a Semifinalist for the President's Scholarship. I'm pretty shocked, mainly because my stats aren't really better than some of those who didn't get a letter. Oh, well...kinda doubt I'll get Finalist.
