Hello, I graduated high school with honors 3.89, however, I am a year behind my class. I was accepted into SCAD(Savannah College of Art and Design) but since it was too expensive for me and my barely middle class family, I dis enrolled in September .now here it is almost March , and i still haven't started school. All i do now is work at a clothing store. I want to go back to school at Georgia Tech for Computational Media, but i am not sure on how the best way to do that. Do I have a better chance as high school student, or college transfer? I only received a 1550 on my SATS, so I guess i should transfer right? Which school is best for transferring to Georgia tech since my major is going to be Computational Media and not engineering? please help me :(

I think the best thing would be to call an admissions person at GA tech and have a chat. They would be able to give you good advice. I know that 1500 is low for GA tech admissions.

They have transfer information sessions every week it seems : <a href=“Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission”>Blow the Whistle! (404 error: page not found) | Undergraduate Admission;

I did email them, and they told me anout the TAG program at GPC , however, thats to far away for me to attend, and no other school guarantees admission. So, I am trying go to a school or community college that will have courses rigorous enough to show them I can handle Tech.

Maybe Southern Poly. My friend is going this route as he was rejected from GT during EA. They told him if he attends Southern Poly Tech for 2 years he can then, with a good GPA, transfer into GT.

I would email them and explain it’s too far for you to attend and then ask about the colleges near you.

Thanks, I have gotten accepted into georgia highlands, but Im not sure if their coursework is enough to prove I can handle the work at Tech.
