I'm going to be a freshman at McCombs most likely next year. I didn't get into BHP unfortunately, but I will try to apply again next year. I'm thinking of trying to graduate in 3 years (I already have 22 credits, and I'm taking 2 more AP tests in May). If I got a good GPA at McCombs 3.7+ and worked for 2 years after I graduate, do I have a decent shot at getting into top MBA programs? I'm good at taking standardized tests, so I'm assuming I do very well on the GMAT. Is McCombs viewed as prestigious and a feeder to top MBA programs like Kellog, Chicago, Wharton, Harvard, Stanford etc.?

McCombs will get you the job and the jobs are what will get you into those prestigious MBA programs.

In my class of 330 at Anderson there are 6 UT-Austin grads, most of whom went to McCombs, and they're all really solid students. The smartest guy in my section is a McCombs grad, and he easily got a number of summer IB internships.
