Getting a job on campus

Lets say you go to the office and ask them to find a job on campus, what are the chances they'll get you one?

There is a job search system available online for students, you can use your NetID to access it. You can find any and all jobs, or even personalize your job search. The results let you know who to contact to apply for the jobs. You should use that system instead of wasting time with someone at an office.

Plus, you're supposed to get yourself a job. The job search and Career Center staff can show you some options, but it's up to you to do applications, interviews, etc. There's also many places around campus that hire on their own, and not through the Career Center at all. Take a walk around and ask who's hiring.

Getting a job at one of the dining halls is pretty easy, you just need to walk in with your social security card and an ID. Pay starts at $7.60 and you get a free meal before/after your shift. It's not the best job you can get, but overall I'm pretty satisfied with it.
