This is my first time in my life where I'm applying for a job. I was wondering if I apply for a job in UCLA (the diners, rondevu, or a place in ackerman), do they do a criminal background check? I'm sure they do, since they don't want to hire a murderer, robber, etc... but I need confirmation. Please don't flame me for being naive ;~; I have no history of running into the law, but I've been to the dean of student's office (put not reported to the police) two times. D: I was wondering will that affect their decision to hire me if I apply for a job? Please let me know. Thanks.

pretty sure asucla doesn't go that far, they hire peple like everyday

It's not that extensive and the process is fairly quick. You go in and do orientation for max 30-45 minutes or so and your boss tells you when to start later on. I worked at a coffee-shop on-campus and was quickly hired and then quit the position just like that.

if i apply for a job next quarter, will they still have jobs left?

Yeah... there are always jobs open. Come at the beginning of the quarter when things still need to get arranged and managers are organizing schedules for more opportunities, n'est-ce pas?

They will do a criminal background check, however, and you will likely have to go get fingerprinted at UCPD
