what do you think of getting a solution book of textbook..
im taking ap chem and i naver use homeworks to study for tests....and hw takes too much time...

isn't that considered cheating, u should def. do the hwk for chem, to understand chem u have to do the hwk for practice.

Not trying to lecture you, but I think that's a bad idea. For one- it's, um, cheating. But also consider this: like lilkrngrl33 said, even if you don't "study" your homework, if you don't actually write out some of the problems you'll have trouble on the tests (or so I've heard- to be fair I haven't taken AP Chem)

well, i think it would be highly useful. for most of my advanced classes (calc, chem) homework is never checked, and it doesn't really count for your grade. homework is only for YOU and it is to your advantage to do the problems and be able to check if you did it right. i have one for calc and i think it's enormously useful. i don't copy, i just do the problems nad check my answers and fix my mistakes. it saves me a lot of time going in and bothering the teacher too.

It's cheating, no matter how you spin it.

If the homework isnt checked in for a grade I dont see it as cheating.

^^ No one would do homework if it wasn't checked for a grade. Homework, in all my classes, count, at the very least, as participation points.

It's cheating... Homework is the only way I really study. I go back to my homework questions and look through them. In AP Chem, I find that's really effective.

lol my math class last year hardly ever checked homework, and it was worth such a minimal percentage no one did it except for understanding concepts.

Darn those answers to odd problems at the back of the book then.

i dont consider that cheating.

um, i do homework when it's not checked. how else am i supposed to learn and know the material for the tests? i guess if i were a genius, i could just take the test, like some of my friends, but i don't learn that. sorry but if homework is not checked for a grade and you use a solution manual to check your answers and learn that is most certainly not cheating.

the way i study is that i solve the problem step by step as i read through the solution....
