Getting in academically

College Majors Musical Theater Major

<p>So… I know NYU is difficult to get into academically, but my question is… how difficult is it for MT/VP students academically? Is it any different? Do they not consider academics as much because of the nature of the major? I’ve taken honors classes all through high school, have a 3.8 and got a 29 on my ACT(which i may take again…) Will that be enough to get me in academically to the school if my intended major is MT? </p>

<p>There are several people who got into the program based on talent, but did not have the academics to go with it and were not offered admission. Probably your academics are okay, but make sure you take challenging classes.</p>
