Getting in out of state

I am a senior in NJ right now and I just submitted my application for UCSB yesterday. I want to know my chances in getting in. I don't have a high GPA and my ACT scores are average. I have a lot of EC and both of my parents are from California if that helps. I have a lot of work and internship experience and I have a lot of other activities.

What are your Stats and what major are you applying?

ACT= 23 and I applied undecided.
I have a lot of community service, work and internships, bilingual, I checked off asian, white and hispanic for my ethnicity and in an essay i stated how both of my parents were from and went to school in cali

A 23 ACT would put you in the bottom 25% of accepted appplicants last year. So it is possible if you have distinguished yourself in other ways. Based solely on you ACT, i’d say your chances aren’t very good.

Good luck.
