On every school admissions website that I visit they claim that you must send in your SAT "and/or" ACT scores. I was wondering if anybody out there, preferably UC/CSU students or accepted HS seniors, were accepted with only an ACT score. I've historically scored low on reading sections on standardized tests and I feel the SAT's vocabulary would kill me, and in all honesty I don't want to take another test with AP tests coming up (I'm a junior). I took the ACT w/writing twice now (27 composite first time, 31 second time) so I'm happy with my score, and just wanted to hear if any of you were accepted with only an ACT. Thanks in advance!!

UCs and CSUs accept both ACT or SAT kiddo, you don’t have to take SAT if you don’t want to. Plenty of people take just the ACT, so don’t sweat it. if you are applying to privates, then you have to look at those schools individually for what they ask for, but UCs and CSUs definitely take both.
