Getting Into UCSD?

Hello,
I am currently a Junior in CA, I was wondering if I could get into UCSD, with:

-3.97 weighted GPA
-3.65 unweighted

I haven't taken any SAT1 tests yet, but I am guessing I will get at least 2050.

High-end classes I have taken:
-Chemistry Honors (last year)
-Physics Honors (this year)
-Pre-Calculus honors (this year)
-American Literature Honors (this year)
-Spanish 3 (this year)

Next year I am taking:
-Calculus BC AP
-English 4AP
-Government/Economics AP
-Physiology (As hard as Biology AP in our school)

College Courses:
-I have taken a Pre-Calculus course (Math 49a)
-I will take Physics AP over this coming summer

Other than this, I don't have any real Extra Curricular activities.

Thanks

Hi Niket.....

sometimes i think its funny that people try to "predict" their SAT scores...

sarah :

i know this guy...when he "predicts" he has the backing of strong diag scores...but I know what you mean.

:]

Thanks for your help guys.

Haha. I can get a steady 1950 with practice SAT's I've taken for Princeton, Sylvan, and a few other places. So I should be able to get my score up 100 points by October this year, latest! But I'm truly hoping for 2100.

I am also extremely good in essays in my American Literature Honors class. I am at least top 5 in terms of essay writing out of all the students taking my subject in my school for essay grades.

So in that case I'm hoping I might have a good chance for the Essay portion during the college application period.

And if I "don't try as hard" on the SAT 1 essay section, to make it as proper and college level, I can probably return my score from a 7, back to a 11 or 12.

So does that mean I have a good chance for UCSD?

With a 2100 it is reasonable. Surely you have more activities than that?

haha.. sorry, i didn't intend to be mean.
bump up the ECs a bit and sure, you have a good shot!

Don't worry, sarahjhansen I feel get the same attitude when some people estimate their scores also. But I'm using a lot of evidence for my prediction.

As of EC's:

I've been part of:
-American Red Cross for 3 years now, but unfortunately because I am not in a school American Red Cross club, they will not allow me to do their activities. I've done a few things on a off with them through contact. They give services through school clubs. So if I plan on starting an American Red Cross club now will it help at all?

-Piano for 7 years, but I had quit that just before 8th grade, and I quickly picked up singing through now. Does that help?

-I have a job at my dad's work, in which i do get paid, and I do work there given hours a week. I am an official employee. This has been going on for 2-3 years now.

-I've tried to make the tennis team at school, but unfortunately that's the most competitive sport in our school, and not many people get in, so I've failed in that. I do, however, still do small tennis class over the summer. Which I've been doing for ~4 years. I only missed out on it last year, because of my Princeton SAT classes, and College Math course.
