I am a transfer student that has been in the community college system for 1 and a half years so far. I have my eyes set on the university of michigan but have a few concerns. In high school I had a bad act score... I am kind of confused with whether or not I can just not include those in my package, or will that go against my tremendously during the admissions process. Also I have a 3.61 gpa and received 53 credits so far at my community college. I work alot so it shows I'm active and a full time student. Issue if I haven't been able to send my application in until yesterday. What does anyone think my chances are getting into michigan in the fall? Any feed back is appreciated

You are required to include your ACT score in addition to high school transcripts for all transfer admissions to the University of Michigan. The transfer requirements are listed here. You shouldn’t be too concerned with your ACT as the ACT is used as a predictive measure of how you will do in college. You clearly showed that your ACT was not reflective of your ability through your current college grades, and the admissions officers understand this. My personal opinion is that a 3.6 is a bit on the iffy side of transfer admissions to Michigan. Depending on which CC you got that score from and how Michigan ranks the strength of your schedule will make the final difference. Given the fact that you are in-state and that you are applying as a junior (Michigan prefers junior applicants for whatever reason), I would have to say you have a good shot of acceptance.

Thank you for your feedback it really helped
