getting into UR vs. UVA

for an in-state applicant, how comparable are admissions between univ. of Richmond and uva? what i mean to ask is, if i'm in at u of r (likely letter and email), how likely is it that i'll get into uva? Is uva much harder? Obviously it's impossible to know for sure, i'm just looking for insight on the two schools admissions difficulty.

Leah

UR's acceptance rate is around 47% overall, UVA in-state acceptance rate right about 50%.

UVA is perceived as more difficult to get in than UR.

Both schools look at applicants differently but if you are looking primarily just at acceptance numbers and you are in-state -- probability of getting accepted is about the same.

The first time I applied to UVa I got waitlisted but was accepted to U of R.

wahoo2007: Did you go to UR and transfer to UVA?

No, I couldn't afford the tuition at U of R so I went to Tech and transferred to UVa.

ah, i got into uofR friday then got rejected from w&m saturday, i have no clue wat uva will say, but i think it might be similar more to wm's admissions then uofR, but i hope not!!! i sure hope worldshopper is right about that propability,!
