Hello, I am currently a junior in high school and I really want to attend University of Washington Seattle because it's the best public university in Washington. I am just kind of worried whether or not I could get accepted. This year, a lot of my friends got in but I am not very sure what made it possible. The acceptance rate is around 58-60%. What's bugging me is if my SAT score and GPA is good enough. Currently, I am taking:

AP US History
Visual Communications 1
English 3
Honors Chemistry
Honors Algebra 2/Trig
French 3

Next year I will be taking:
Psychology
AP English 4
Physics
Visual Communications 2
Honors Pre-Calculus
Law/Economics

My cumulative gpa is currently a 3.7 (un-weighted) but my junior gpa is around a 3.5 which will lower my overall gpa and this worries me. My SAT score is a 1730 but I can still get that up. I know that a good personal statement is also a very big factor into getting accepted so I am going to do my best in writing a good one. Also, does it help if I have a sibling who is a graduate from that school or does it not really help? Thanks.
