Getting kicked out of UF because of bad grades

So it’s my first semester at UF, and I currently am failing one of my classes. I am a psych major, and a junior transfer. I believe I will be able to pull my grade up to pass, but I am scared that if I don’t I will be kicked out. Does anyone have experience in a similar situation? I would love some advice. All of my other classes are okay, I may possibly get a C in spanish. I’m not sure. :frowning:

Hi!

UF doesn’t dismiss students for failing one class. The following link will give you the 411 on UF’s academic progress requirements, probation and dismissal.

https://catalog.ufl.edu/ugrad/current/regulations/info/progress.aspx

It’s your cumulative grade point average that matters. If it drops below a 2.0 you go on probation. If you can’t get it up, you’ll end up being dismissed.

Good Luck!

Thanks! Are these policies the same for transfer students also?

Yes

Did you consider dropping the class? I believe the deadline is this Friday. Might be something to consider…
