Man, I'm sweating it about being accepted as a transfer student to UCF. UF already said no. I know now that UCF is the perfect place for me, as I plan on majoring in Hospitality Mangaement, and eventually working for Disney. I want this really bad. Waiting for their notification is killing me lol.

My daughter is going through the same thing. We finally called when we saw people being accepted (altho I have not seen any transfers accepted yet), and they said it would be another month or so for Fall 2011.

My dd has a 3.8 gpa and is a hospitality and tourism major at Grand Valley State in Michigan. She has done the Disney College program and would like to finish college in Florida so she can keep working at Disney.

Our big concern is that she does not have an algebra class. She did not need it where she is at,so she is taking it next semester. She has a computer science class and a stats class, not sure if that will be good enough for the math requirements.

We are assuming she will get deferred, but dont really know what that means. Does it mean you are in as long as you take the class, or does it mean you are not really in?

deferred just means that they haven’t made up their mind on whether to accept you or reject you. When this happens they’ll usually tell you what you need tow ork on so that your chances on being accepted rises.

Yeah, I applied for Spring 2011. I’ll have my AA degree then. I heard they are high on test scores. If thats true, I’d feel a lot better about it.
