Getting pumped for PSAT scores.

lol i never thought we could be "mad stoked" about numbers but I guess that's the sad reality these days

ugh shoot im really hoping i can be a semifinalist. im in new york and the cutoff is 2180...... do u think i can make it with 3 wrong in writing, 1skip and 1wrong in math, and maybe at worst 10 wrong in CR? omg 10 wrong..... sounds bad....

bump........

vinny, 33 raw, 38 raw, and 35 raw in math, CR, and wr. respectively would translate to a 68, 64, and 77 according to the wednesday curve for 2004. So your selection index would be about a 209.

i'm really upset and depressed about my psat because i failed the math section horribly
i really wanted semi-finalist but i probably won't be commended even

I really don't know what I got, I think I did pretty well on all the sections and I think the MN cutoff might be relatively low, but I don't actually know what it is. Think I got a 217 or so on the practice test and the real one was probly close to that. I hope.

i hate to be a pest but can someone predict my score using the curves last year or tell me last years

i think:
math- 1 wrong, 3 omit
writing- 2 wrong
cr- 3 wrong 3 omit (ouchies here)

69 M 67 CR 80 W = 216

Please refer to this PDF file released last year:

December 5 PSAT/NMSQT: Shipping of Score Reports to schools begins

I'm going to pester my GC for my score. If they mail my report on December 5 then my school should receive it on the 6th.

The GC's at my school are kind of slow so we'll probably get them after Christmas break...

Best Case: 71CR/76M/77W = 224
Worst Cast: 67CR/70M/71W = 208

Hoping for a miracle!

i just want over a 210 ..... all up to the PSAT Gods I guess ..... I am praying tht since the PSAT was harder (wasnt it?) this year, the curve will be better than 2004 ....
I mean c'mon - the Math and Cr was kinda difficult... if i was a junior last yr.. i would of rocked that PSAT ... grrr.. enough of this!

Best Case: 70CR/80 M/78W = 228
Worst Case: 60CR/75M/70W=205

Oh....man...Cutoff for NMSF in NY is about 220 so as you can see, I'm pretty nervous

Where does it say shipping begins Dec 5?!

And is that december 5th, 2005...or december of 2005?

@RunRinCT: Of course we're "mad stoked" because those numbers = $2500!!!!!

Best Case: 75CR/80M/80W=235
Worst Case: 65CR/77M/72W=214

I think I'm pretty safe for NMSF!!! My school had 9 last year! That's pretty crazy!

Our school had 6 NMSF;s...

OK here's the WORST possible scenario for me.
Math: perfect score(:))
Writing:-5
CR:-8 and 1 OMIT

The MI cutoff has been hovering at about 210 for the last couple of years, so based on these hypothetical numbers, would I make it???

lavendercloud, the MN cutoff was 213 this year...good luck!

Bump It Up!!!

Evil Asian Dictator
Math 80
Writing 71
CR 62
My predictions based on last year's curve..so that is a 213..

Do you guys think this year's curves will be more generous than last year's?
