Getting pumped for PSAT scores.

Thanks Lakers08!!! I seriously doubt I got that many wrong though but its nice to know that I will probably make NMSF regardless. I think the curve for this year's PSAT will be a little bit harsher because the test was a little easier with regards to CR, at least the Saturday one was.

I'm semi-anxious too, hoping for a semi (whatever my score turns out to be, it'll be pretty close to the cutoff). I need 222+, but I wish for 225+.

ExRunner: look on the College Board site for guidance counselors. There is a table of important dates.

buuummmpppp...these are going to be the main topic for discussion in the coming weeks, so threads like these are going to be busy sooner or later.

Should we post our scores on this thread once we get them???

When did the PSAT extra get posted last year? Is it usually up before the high schools receive score reports?

Oh, nm. The answers will be up on December 12.

where did you hear that? :(
they were posted well before that date last year.

It's on the "educators" section of the CB website.

REally, it was earlier last year?

see this score thread from last year's: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=11419&page=6&pp=20&highlight=PSAT%2A

Apparently, the PSAT extra answers were available as early as Nov 30.

i didnt know the psat didnt contain algebra 2 until yesterday lol

Aw, I hope it's November 30 this year.

Do they post curves along with the answers?

Do u guys think the writing curve will be harsher than last year's since last year was the first year that writing was tested? Or is that wrong?

last year was the first year? I wasn't aware.

I'm not really sure, lol

ugh shoot im really hoping i can be a semifinalist. im in new york and the cutoff is 2180...... do u think i can make it with 3 wrong in writing, 1skip and 1wrong in math, and maybe at worst 10 wrong in CR? omg 10 wrong..... sounds bad....

foolonthehill... last yr was not the first yr writing was on the PSAT... writing has been on the PSAT for a number of years now.... as a result, the curve will most likely be the same or maybe worse since now its on the SAT and maybe ppl know it better =(

but this psat was the first actual new psat. last year they had nothing to base upon, so this year, since they can base the test on last yr. the curve might be more generous, especially for math. this years math was CLEARLY harder than last years' psat math. so we dont really know what to expect this year.

Wait, do results get mailed to our homes and schools or just to our schools?

I'm really hoping we get them in the mail because, if not, I won't be able to get mine until late January. Ah!

Results get sent directly to your school. =/
