Getting Recommendations from teachers..in the same Dept.??

So I've been thinking about who to ask for recommendations...and I've narrowed it down to my junior year AP English teacher, and my sophomore Honors English/senior Journalism/newspaper staff advisor (I'm a writer and editor). But they are both English teachers at my school.

Because of the way our school schedules our classes (I have yet to have the same teacher twice and the majority of them were semester long classes), the teacher most likely forgot how I did in their class.

Even if my second English teacher wrote about me being her student, AND one of her best writers/editor this past year (her words, not trying to sound conceited or anything), is having two english teachers write letters...ill-advised?

Thanks

I would advise against it. Generally it’s suggested that you get one recommendation from a teacher in the humanities, and one that’s more math/ science. You want to show that you’re an overall strong and involved student, not just in one subject matter.

Okay, thanks  One of my friends suggested a club advisor that taught my bio class a few years back. She’s definitely write me a good rec so I guess I’m set. Thanks again
