Hey guys,
so after I read some posts about not reporting coursework from other colleges, I got worried because I took a calculus class about 3-4 year ago while in high school-- which i did not report of my application.
I am sending out an email to my advisor today (once i get her response from another question i asked) to explain the situation.
In this "Calculus with Analytical Geometry" class I took at San Jose City College, I received a "B" grade. I currently attend De Anza/Foothill, and I probably could do better in that class now (keep in mind that grade was from nearly 4 years ago).
Does anyone see any possibility of me getting rescinded or anything for not reporting this, and for getting a "B" ?(all my grades from my current college have been A's w/one exception)...

I also know one person (a semi-friend, more like colleague) who wanted me to ask a similar question. He also goes to De Anza with about a 3.87. He took 2 classes at Evergreen Valley college about 3-5 years ago or so. In those classes, he got a "B" in an English 1 class and a "D" (maybe worse he says) in an Engineering Physics class. Both are transferrable. He did not report these, because, like me, he didn't know and plus it was so long ago in early high school (for him, late hs for me). So will he get rescinded?

Thanks all!

You’re fine. Your friend, I’m not so sure. Not reporting a D (or possibly an F it sounds like it) is a pretty big deal.

I reported 2 classes that I forgot to put on my app from about 4/5 years ago. I reported these about 2 weeks (maybe less) before decisions came out. When I checked my conditions of admission, both classes (or, rather, both schools that the classes were taken at) were listed on my application. Still got in (Cal). (Both classes were taken at out of state schools).

Actually, I also reported these classes to UC Davis AFTER admission and about a week later they got back to me and told me I was still in.

C in one class and D in the other (the D was a class I forgot to drop after I was put into a NREMT-Basic class for work right in the middle of it).

Anyway, that’s just my story but it should be a positive one for anyone that didn’t report classes. If you haven’t reported them yet…do it…asap…

Jake (the second person i mentioned) said that he retook the english 1 class and got an “A” the second time. The first time it was a “B”. Is that even allowed? Would they get rid of his “A” and use the “B”? Because I thought you couldn’t retake a class unless you get a D or lower. Anyone with experience in this issue?

I tried to tell him that he needs to report it but he doesn’t want to get rescinded. But Berkeley WILL find out about it, right? Or will they not?

I just emailed my B in Calc to my advisor, so hopefully I’m good. I don’t know about Jake though. Any ideas?

^^^the 2 english classes were from separate colleges: DeAnza, Evergreen.

Your friend should just tell admissions. I doesn’t seem like a big deal… its not like he failed the class :)
