Getting Rescinded

What’s the minimum grade I need to not be rescinded?

I know that grades dropping are indications of slacking off, but this really isn’t the case for me. My Calculus grade is dropping mainly because it’s such an extremely challenging class and I’ve been having a slight difficulty keeping the grade up. I try really hard on all the Calc tests, but honestly it’s just way too difficult–I mean, I have no trouble with the homework, it’s just the tests the teacher gives are so so so hard.

Would I definitely get rescinded if I get a D (I currently have a 72%)? My ideal grade right now is to get a C or maintain my C-. And honestly, I don’t know how well I’ll do in the upcoming chapters, Calculus just keeps getting harder and harder and I’m not even sure how I can keep my grade up.

And lastly, if I were to be rescinded, and Drexel sends a letter asking why, would it be appropriate to explain that the class was just way too difficult for me, it wasn’t even because I got lazy.

I can’t say for sure but it might depend on your intended major. If you are not planning to major in engineering or sciences Calculus is less important. Also might depend on the rest of your grades. Can you get help from the teacher or a classmate who understands the material better? Good luck.

Do what you can to earn at least a C-. i doubt they will rescind your acceptance but it may impact your course of study. Drexel has some firm tracking in most majors. You don’t want get behind. If you are in a science or math related major you may want to contact Drexel and ask for their opinion.
