Getting Still Interested Emails From Colleges?

I’ve got a few emails from some colleges I’ve applied to that basically boil down to: Do you still want to be accepted into xyz university? If no, please click this link. If yes, please click this link. Is this a bad thing? Does this mean anything other than they just want to know if I don’t want to go to their school anymore so they don’t have to review as many applications?

Make sure you know the emails are actually from the colleges you applied to. There are many email scams.
I think you can ignore without clicking on anything. Decent colleges would not ask those questions now (May 1st is not here yet).

@coolweather No, many legit colleges are emailing applicants with this. If students have already accepted EA/ED offers elsewhere they want to know so as not to waste an acceptance on someone who is just curious whether they will be accepted.

ED applicants are required to withdraw applications. EA applicants don’t decide until May 1st. Anyway the OP needs to make sure they are not scam/soliciting emails. The kid I helped to apply for Fall 2016 still receive a lot of emails.
