Getting to Georgetown from Dulles Airport

Hi, I'm a new student at Georgetown and like an idiot I didn't research transportation to Georgetown from the Airport. Anybody have an idea on how to do it?

There will definitely be taxis, and there are public transportation I think, but I'm not too familiar with them.

With luggage, SuperShuttle is probably your best option. You can book it online. It's a little expensive- cheaper than a taxi, but considerably more costly than public transportation- but will save you the hassle of having to haul your life from the airport to the Washington Flyer to the Metro to the GUTS. Just a thought.

KShuai, I live ten minutes from Dulles. I can give you a ride for probably less than a taxi and I have lots of luggage room. Willing to take a gamble? :)

Don't take a cab from Dulles. It'll burn a hole in your wallet. (The only thing worse I could think of is to take a cab from Heathrow to Central London... huge mistake...) Take Supershuttle, or if you're willing to gamble, hitch a ride with someone you know.

Fingers crossed for that Metro line to Dulles... estimated century of completion: 22nd. (Slightly sarcastic, I know.)
