I sent in my transcript/school report on the second of december and I check everyday on the self service thing to see if Cornell has recieved them yet but they havnt. The deadline is coming up and i'm starting to get scared. Should I call them? Because I know it takes them a while to sort things through.

i know how you feel. one of my teacher rec's isn't showing up and it's been 3 weeks.. panic

Same here... One of my teacher rec's isn't there, and neither is my transcript. But they have my GC Evaluation, and funny thing the Transcript and GC Evaluation were sent in the same envelope!

jacquesier: You are applying to Cornell as well? You applied to Princeton ED, right? To what other schools are you applying?

Yeh, I'm applying to Cornell RD. Are you aswell or something? I think Cornell is a solid safety for alot of Princetonians. If I end up at Cornell I will not be the least bit sad. I'm also applying to Duke, Gtown, and already in PSU. I thought about NYU, but I'd rather just visit the city. Where are looking?

Cornell is not a safety for this deferred Princeton applicant! Cornell is my second choice, only because it has a skating team (which I will join) and a very good Latin American Studies program. Not too happy about the size, but I do like the resources Cornell has to offer. After that, it's William & Mary (probably a good match since my school sends the second most there in the U.S), UVA (a GREAT school but the size worries me a bit) and University of Richmond (my safety).

Acceptance during RD for Princeton will be highly unlikely because the updates I will be sending them aren't the ones that truly matter or will make a difference in my application. If I had to put money on it, I will probably end up at William & Mary and that's not a bad thing.

By saftey, I mean anything aside from that college in Jersey. lol... For me I actually like Cornell better, but the ED programme was a boost to my Pton application. I mean I would be just as happy to applied early to Cornell, but since it was best to go for the gold I tried with Pton. Now, I'm just going to go off to Ithaca if all goes well. As for true safety I guess you could say Kenyon for me. And PSU of course, I'm already in.

UVA is a great school. We send kids there every year. We even send some to Richmond, and my own History teacher went to William and Mary. He later transferred because he said it was one of the best schools in the South and he had no bussiness being there.

Yeh, I'm not too worried about RD for Princeton. I may send some updates to Cornell and Duke, but not really to Pton. I tried and that is that. And William and Mary is not a bad thing. Sure they may not have that skating programme though. Probably don't even get much snow down there. And if you got any it would shut down the whole state. lol...

It took a month between the time I sent my secondary school report and when it showed up on the Cornell check app thing....so don't worry too much.

Yeh, but I think people are just a little worried because the deadline is so near, and they are not sure if Cornell has the papers, or not.

I just checked their website and it said they were experiencing a large number of items being sent to their office. They will notify you in January if your file is incomlete and will give you up until the end of January to provide them with any missing info. FYI

Oh, thankyou worldshopper that is just great. I'm hoping that nothing got lost along the way in some snowbank in Pennsykentucky.
