Gift ideas for a professor?

<p>I will definitely write him a card, and may get him a gift card to a local bookstore or something.</p>

<p>I know the portrait of him can seem weird, but he’s already pretty used to my quirks, and it seems like something he may like. I think I’ll go with MD Mom’s idea, and draw something from around campus.</p>

<p>@amsstory Good luck getting in! He specializes in Second Language Acquisition, particularly with Spanish & English. He’s interested in different cultures, and he has a lot of pictures of his family on travels (Sidney, Australia for example) and whatnot. He’s also pretty interested in Southwest Mexican styled crafts.</p>

<p>What if you made a painting/drawing of one of the pictures he has in his office of his family on vacation? It could be a picture of his family on their vacation/travels or it could just be a picture of one of the places he visited.</p>
