<p>Since I got very good AP scores and SAT II scores should I go to my teacher beginning schoolyear and thank him? should I get him a card and gift? will it look like i'm sucking up? I might want to give another gift soon cuz i'm doing ED and i'll need his REC soon.</p>

<p>lol filmxoxo17.....besides it may be insulting to the teacher...it'll make it seem like you're implying he/she is only going to give you a good rec and teach you well because he/she wants lots and lots of gifts....a simple thank you card should do</p>

<p>Yeah, I gave gifts for the teachers that wrote me recs to get into a prestigious summer program (since the recs must have been good) and gave everyone (including them) thank you notes that were personalized and had either inside jokes (yeah sometimes I have inside jokes with teachers, its not really that weird), or personal comments. Just be thoughtful and you'll be fine.</p>
