are there many dime pieces or are they mostly mingers?

lol...but seriously, when i went to visit, there was a good share of hot girls. by also being in the facebook class of 2011 group, i can tell you that it wont be like a state school but id guess really good for an elite school.

I'd say that NU (in comparison to other academically inclined private schools) has more than it's fair share of attractive women in no small part to its theatre program (look at the no. of TV/film stars who have attended NU).

However, that doesn't mean that female engineering students can't be attractive as well (Cindy Crawford, a bit overrated imo, was an engineering student at NU - well, for about a quarter, anyways).

the only thing we know for sure is the girls are more attractive than the boys, as a whole

I know that the four girls from my high school at NU are very attractive. They happen to be smart and that's bad. Smart, cute girls are hard to get.

edit: make that three....one transferred to notre dame

Just wondering. What makes people transfer out of NU?

yup exactly lol

"What makes people transfer out of NU?"

i dont get it either really since NU offers something for everyone but for this situation I'd guess Notre Dame b/c of the religious affliation. b/c i dont think it would be for academics. i'm always confused when a person doesnt like NU. my spanish teacher (had her for all 4 years up to AP Spanish) actually transferred from NU to DePaul. yea, i know weird choice. she said that she was too young (she went to college at 17 i think) for the environment and didnt really fit in. idk, she said I'd have a great time there though.

actually, i could understand this. if you came to NU really not wanting to go, there's a lot of stuff you could spend your energy hating about the university. and i don't mean this in that there are ton of awful things about NU, just some of the little annoying things i could really see adding up if you don't like the place in general and don't want to be there. but i love it to death so who knows.

I know two people that wound up transferring. One after Fall Quarter and another after freshman year. Frankly, neither of them gave NU a chance. One of them never wanted to go to NU and was unhappy he/she didn't get into a better school (Yale or Harvard). The other had a boyfriend at a state school and missed him terribly. She also then started claiming that NU is far too elitist for the "commoner". If by "elitist" she means that the university requires a certain amount of achievement to get in and a certain amount of effort and intellect to succeed, academically, socially, and emotionally, then I can see her argument.
Of those that came in with a clear head and worked through any homesickness or apprehensiveness they had, my friends all really like NU.

That seems to be the case across the board anywhere you go.

My personal - ahem - opinion based on Facebook is that most girls in the NU class of '11 are intensely sexually attractive.

'Specially the ones with brown hair. :D

Wish I could say the same about the guys.

Hahah, Taryn, you're definitely not a fair sample set. If people only based it off you, it'd be little wonder the girls are "in general more attractive": they'd all be 10's!

ND offers an absolutely singular educational experience. It probably wasn't something against NU, just a lack of fit. Oh, and while religion is a part of ND, it is only a part, and by far is not the only thing that distinguishes it from other schools.

The girls in engineering range from fair to abominable. And there's like... 12 of them total. :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

PLEASE CHANGE THIS.

Actually there are some pretty good ones... but they are really quite rare.

the girls at NU are ATROCIOUS. i would compare them to carelton college.

I think this whole thread is disgusting. Talk about it amongst yourselves on Facebook if you must, but to read about your sizing up of the looks and sex appeal of NU women on CC is immature and dreadful, really.

You are going to a university where there will be a diverse group of people, all of whom have something to offer.

If you are looking for a cattle call, check out the local bar, although based on this commentary, you are undoubtedly too young to go too one. I guess the Miss America pageant will have to do. Hey, maybe you can meet Miss South Carolina.

lol, I love you wintersilk.

i'm sorry, but only an ugly person would feel the need to post a rant like that. this is a perfectly valid thread and if you don't like it, don't click on it.

Wintersilk is a hottie.
