A hot girl at UF is about as infrequent as Halley's Comet.

Deluxe, you don't go to UF. How do you know? There are plenty of gorgeous girls around campus.

yeah, I think this is a base-rate issue. Girls at UCF may not be very smart, but well, it's UCF. How many smart kids are there to begin with?

Go to Vanderbilt, McGill, Duke, UMich, UVa, etc. and you'll find lots of smart, hot girls. They may not be nice, and they may be superficial, but their still smart.

Not at UMich. They're complete bobble-heads. UMich students are really hard working average kids, more or less. I'm not talking about intellectual ability, but aspirations, people.

bobble heads meaning airheaded i'm assuming?

Yea, bobble heads ~ airheads

At UMich, you sure?

As they say at UMich "I'm so sure". Yes, I've heard a UMich chick actually say that.

It's a big state school. There's lots of idiots. Lots of hard workers. Lots of smart people. For some reason, I've found lots of stupid girls and guys at UMich. Most of them can do well on a test but have no common sense whatsoever. And they call MSU "East Lansing Community College". It's terrible since MSU students aren't that much worse than UMich students and generally have more common sense.

My previous statement holds true whereby being smart and pretty is mutually exclusive.

UF has smarter (not pretty) girls
UCF has prettier (not smart) girls

O lay off michiganman, its not as bad as you put it. There are plenty of smart people at Umich. Of course you are going to a wider distribution of intelligence because Umich is such a large school. But the bulk of the student body is still actually pretty smart.

And I've been to MSU to party every now and then. If by more comment sense, you mean more likely to get wasted and party on a given weekend, then I would agree with you.

yeah, McGill has some really, really dumb kids actually. They usually fail out though. Third year classes all the kids seem really smart, it's weird.

i always thought that UF girls were hot. the rgx girl is a UF graduate.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Specter

^ She is pretty decent, but she graduated a while ago, back when the requirements weren't as tough as they are now.

Even still, the hot ones now are extreme outliers.

I say this knowing two things:
1. UF is full of IB girls. None are hot.
2. UF is full of non-IB girls that were smart enough to get in. None are hot.

NOTE: There are a few exceptions. If you are an outlier, bask in your beauty.

Visit UF and you will see there are lots of hot girls....UCF and FSU have UF beat but not by much

I think it's inappropriate to debate about the attractiveness of college student bodies, but I will say that Deluxe has no idea what he's talking about.

1.) You're overestimating the quality of UF students. Sure, admissions is more difficult than what it was, but it's still relatively not that hard to get in UF.
2.) Beauty and intelligence are NOT mutually exclusive. Use a more appropriate term.
3.) As someone who was here for a Summer term, the freshman class looked great, as it always has.
4.) The consensus from the female population is that it is the UF guys that are lacking in the looks department. The "problem" has never been with the girls.
5.) Vanderbilt, an excellent school with many smart people, ranks as an A+ (for student body attractiveness). Florida ranks as an A. Do you disagree with this?

i think deluxe has lost all merit when he just described the rgx girl as "pretty decent". are u watching the same commercials I am? or is pretty decent supposed to mean absolutely drop-dead gorgeous? i personally have always thought southern schools had more attractive student bodies just b/c girls in the south seem to dress up more and the weather's great (idk summer always seems to make girls hotter). is that a misconcieved belief?

Oddly enough, since I started working as a cashier at Cousins Subs, I get hit on ALL the time by really creepy guys. I have no idea why...

The most hilarious pick up line I've ever gotten (this was while leaving a nightclub) is "It's nice to meet you. Man, you have nice boobs!"

The key to not being a creepy, stalkery douchebag is a) context, and b) tact.

It might be appropriate to come up to someone in a bar and say "you're hot, can I have your number?" It would be really weird to do that in, say, physics lecture. Feel free to flirt in physics lecture, but you have to do it in a location-appropriate way--smile, make a joke, start a conversation, THEN ask for their number, or if they'd like to get coffee, or whatever. And if they say no, be okay with that and don't make a big thing about it!

Staring, yelling, or whistling at someone in public--never okay. Just not. If you do that kind of thing, you will always be the creepy loser. Cheesy pickup lines, never okay unless it's really, really clear that your tongue is firmly in cheek. But I'm thinking that's too advanced of a technique for people who don't understand why being randomly, overtly hit on while going about your day to day business might be unwelcome.

sigh... MightyNick... hang out with me sometime. We'll get you a nice girl ;)

if you guys keep arguing like this on an online forum, how do you expect girls to like you?

bee tee dubs..i go to duke

Yeah, because we act like this in person... and girls judge guys solely on what the guy says online.
