girls in engineering - observations

As a junior electrical engineer here are my observations regarding girls in engineering

1) less than average looking
2) have boyfriends
3) boyfriends not in engineering

Okay, how does this work? It would make sense if 1 and 2 are true and 3 false due to the high guy to girl ratio. Ie, i'd except the boyfriends to be in engineering.

Point 3 doesn't really make sense because if they are below average in looks, why do they always have boyfriends (not in engineering)?

Because guys in engineering are also for the most part less than average looking…

But I can’t say much. I’m in engineering and my boyfriend is in computer science.

'Cause dude, a math and physics whiz is not going to feel important in a relationship dating another math and physics whiz. We all gotta feel important.

And I have to agree with 1.

there are more guys not in engineering than there are in engineering. It’s pretty obvious.

hahaha i totally agree

My girlfriend is an aeronautical engineer and I am a business economics major. That said, she is way, way above average looking ^_-

maybe because guys in engineering might tend to be more techy-geeks who have gamer-mentality(ie, they stay stuck safely in their room rather than going out into the real world), who don’t go out and date.

What do this have to do with engineers?

Maybe it’s because girls in engineering are above average in intelligence and some guys dig that? It seems like female engineers would be the type who are rational and know what they want.

I’m not a current engineering student but I’m working on transferring in. I happen to be somewhere between average to below-average looking and I have a boyfriend. He’s a social studies education major.
