good looking boys in engineering

Hello since there is a thread for girls in engineering, i have decided to make one to seek out if there are any good looking boys in engineering. Would i find better looking guys in like a theater arts major than an eng major?

Hey, I'm pretty effing good-looking.

:P

Beauty is in the eyes of beholder, and so is attractiveness. But there are lots of guys in the Engineering department, so I think odds are high that you find some attractive.

A comic i saw once touched on this issue. There's a girl sitting at a desk between two guys. The guy on the left leans over and says "Being a girl in engineering, your odds are good." She looks over at the guy on the right and says "The odds are good, but the goods are odd."

Many of the guys are just weird, but there are good ones out there. Attractive ones too. Unfortunately, they are a minority.

Mmhmm... right...

I'm an engineer, and I've been dating a musician (composer/conductor) for five and a half years. Not only is he hot, but he's also romantic and sensitive! =) I highly recommend non-engineering boys. Hee hee.

hahaha

girlfriendmb, I'd say that your chances of finding good looking guys in engineering is better than the chances of a guy finding a good looking girl.

"I'm an engineer, and I've been dating a musician (composer/conductor) for five and a half years. Not only is he hot, but he's also romantic and sensitive! =) I highly recommend non-engineering boys. Hee hee."

Do you recommend their salary? :)

Ohh, burn!

No, but I recommend mine. =)

Then you're kind of contradicting yourself.

The girls that I know, for the most part, refuse to date anyone in arts. I don't blame them.

Hey there are unfortunate looking people in every major. I don't know too many music guys that are good-looking and good luck finding a straight, non-weirdo one in theatre.

Business is where I have the most competition. I'm in my engineering class looking around thinking, I guess I'm alright, I'm doing pretty well with the ladies. Then I go to the bars and wonder 'When did I start looking so small?' (no time to workout). The last majors I'd worry about are the art ones.

No one should complain about people in major because if they aren't your type, look elsewhere. Most of the people in my class have at least one social deficiency of some sort. Good-looking or not. You can find hott people in any major but overall I'd say finding a guy in engineering is easier but one that is good-looking and personable is harder. It is about the same as finding a girl with the same qualities in engineering. As they say, 'The odds are good but the goods are odd' or 'the odds are bad, and so are the goods.' Heh.

i will speak on behalf of all engineering boys--we are ugly, stupid, unrefined, and we stink

really bad

.

Speak for yourself. Psh.

[pops collar]

"Speak for yourself. Psh.

[pops collar]"

Ditto.

Try taking a shower once in a while. It might help.

And I really don't think idiots can get admitted into and survive engineering.

...LOL. What?? =) How am I contradicting myself? I'm delightfully emotionally fulfilled, and I am completely self-sufficient, financially. I don't need no stinky boy to support me; I'm a smart gal and can earn major dough on my own!

In case you didn't notice, Jokaking was joking.

Well, I guess contradicting isn't the right word. But the major difference Arts majors and Engineering majors are their salaries. You are recommending Arts guys, but in turn are recommending a less glamourous lifestyle. I never said you needed anyone to support you, but two high incomes are better than one.

I don't know what kind of schools you guys go to, but my Engineering school has perfectly normal people. There are good looking and normal guys, and then there are the uglies and the nerds. Just like any faculty.

Do I look like some crazy, nerdy, anti-social person?
