I know most are reaches but shots at:
Tufts
JHU
UVA(instate)
W&M(instate)
Princeton
Duke
Georgetown-might do EA
WUSTL
Brown
UMich

You should be fine for the in-state ones, especially if your SAT score goes up at all.

BUMP (10char)

Any advice on how to improve my chances for schools out of state?

Up
My
Post

Princeton will be hard but all of your other ones look good to me.....You look sort of like me,..i have a 3.7uw and a 4.2w and a 30 ACT...and im black as well....so i hope you get into all of your schools....good luck

how does your school weight

Regular courses are on a 4.0 scale. You get a full point (1.0) for APs so an A in an AP class is 5.0. Then we have a new system where advanced (honors-like) classes are given 0.5 weight. So an A in adv class is a 4.5.

Where would your safety be?

personally since she is Instate...i think UVA would be a safety for her because she is a URM and has respectable stats

Well I dont know about UVA being a safety but other more safety/match schools I am looking at are like VCU, UPitt, Virginia Tech, Temple and schools like that. Anyone have any other safe/match school with a good bio program?

Ohio State has an excellent bio program--and would probably be a safety/safe match for you.

Ohio State actually called me a while back. Sounds like a good school.

Your GPA and test scores make all those schools reaches (plus your ECs don't stand out either), even for the instate schools. Hell, I have better stats than you and even I don't think I have a chance at Princeton/Duke. URM will help, but I believe you're still at the fringe.

Get more safeties/matches.

You'd probably be guaranteen in at JHU, Tufts, Georgetown if you apply early; if you don't then it's 50/50.
