Giving up

sorry to go off topic, sort of, but does anyone know how to convert a GPA into a UC GPA?
and, does anyone know what the formula they use for admission is? cause i'm pretty sure they have a big complicated point system right?

i think u can get into uci still cause my scores are similar to urs..i had a good fresh/junior year but soph year i had a 2.9 unweighted...my sat first time was 1610 then second time i took it i got a 1790...i took sat ii for spanish and history...and got like 540 and 620...which isn't too great...and my essays weren't that great either..cause i also had no help..so don't give up..and also..community college is the next best thing..my cousin transfered a cc to an university for engineering and he's doing really well now!..so there are alwayss options.

I wish connecticut had a UC like system.

Hockeykid Congratulations for getting in to college! are you happy about UCSC? I think there are many kids out there who would be, it may feel like the end of the world but you are not facing worst case senario... YOU GOT IN and you have options!

I know it can be scarey and sometimes its nice to get other people to get the information as it can be hard to digest (i use to be the same, somehow it seemed like 'better' information if someone else had checked it first).

That program at UR sounded good, look into it. You never know it could even help your chances down the track if you are not a total genius (i know im not). Is med school what you want to do or is it what you think you should do? Lots of questions, lots of possibilities. At least with these questions it really is up to you, you dont need others input :)
