Last night I went to a party and saw an old friend of mine. Her son graduated from UA last spring. He was some kind of pre-med major (I believe biology). He applied to 5 med schools and was accepted to 4. Not bad!!! Her son has always been a good student (not a top, top type in high school or college), so I’m glad that he’s done well enough at UA & on his MCATs to get accepted to 4 med schools! He applied to a med school in Penn, Georgia, Ohio, and to 2 med schools in AL. He didn’t get accepted to one of the AL med schools. He’s attending the AL med school because it’s good and he gets “in-state tuition” there.

Anyways…this is good news for my DS2 who is also pre-med (majoring in chemical engineering with a bio minor plus all pre-med reqs). Glad to think that he’ll likely have some success when he applies. DS2 is a very strong and dedicated student.
