Why only in NE? I mean, people do come from all over the world, so schools like Cate and Thacher should be considered, as well as some schools like Middlesex and Milton.
Oh, and here are some word rearrangements I created with GLADCHEMMS:
- SLAMMED
- SHAMMED
- SCAMMED
- CLASHED
- CLAMMED
Although I doubt SCAMMED would be good publicity for a school…

SMALMED

SLAMMED

SHAMMED

SCAMMED

MASCLED

LAMEDHS

GLAMMED

CLASHED

CLAMMED

CHASMED

I really like GLAMMED

Hey, I didn’t create the acronym; I’m just saying that that’s what it is… And maybe you’re right, about the acronym’s coolness (lol, I bet that’s exactly what the Hotchkiss founder had in mind when creating the name… )… Nonetheless, these schools (and all GLADCHEMMS, in some ways or other) all provide amazing educations. I would NOT say EQUAL; but I’d say that it is impossible to rank them objectively. Maybe the best way to rank them is in fact; what is the best school for the greatest number of people? If that were the criteria, I’d say that Andover would in fact win (even without the results of this thread) because it has amazing everything; lacking only the reputed stressful atmosphere of Exeter (whether this is true or not I don’t know, and don’t really care; but this is the stereotype)… Idk, each school has their own benefits.

Okay, this post makes no sense. Sorry guys.

The acronyms are NOT cool and mislead some applicants and parents into believing that a certain group of schools are the brass ring and any school outside this artificial pool is somehow inferior. I find it hard to believe that an arbitrary term made up by a kid is having such a lasting and (IMHO) damaging effect. Time to resurrect this thread:
