Global Citizens Program

I just recieved a letter inviting me to apply of Nova's Global Citizens Program. I had never heard of it before. Does anyone know anything about it or have any experience with the program?

anyone?...

I also received it. Do you know what we have to do to apply? or any more information?

On the website it says:

Participants are selected based on their high school academic credentials and are invited to apply. All invited students interested in applying for the GCP must submit a two page letter detailing why they are interested in the program and what they hope to gain from the experience. This letter must be submitted to the Office of International Studies, no later than April 4, 2008.

All selected participants will be notified by April 11, 2008.

The site is: <a href="http://www.villanova.edu/vpaa/intlstudies/gcp.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.villanova.edu/vpaa/intlstudies/gcp.htm</a></p>

...

Are you going to apply? I think I'm just going to, that way it's an option and I can always just say no. I feel like it would be an amazing opportunity, but it seems really weird to only be on campus for one semester before you go.

Yeah, I found that online. I just wasn't sure if it was all the same for this year (dates, etc.). I'm pretty sure I'm going to do it also, it sounds amazing. I doubt I'll get it (only 20 do), but it's worth a shot.

ha I totally just assumed it said 2009 on the deadline, didn't even notice that it was 2008. I guess I'll just do it by the end of March to make sure. I feel the same way, it's worth the try though, whats one more essay. lol

ugh guys can you please give it some thought before you decide to apply? don't take a spot away from someone who REALLY wants it... just because it is such a selective program and a lot of people get closed out. if you're legit still deciding whether you want to do it or not then i am all for you having all your options open and applying now and deciding later; if you can get in you deserve to choose from among all the opportunities available. but if you're really not likely to go to this program (or even to go to villanova) then just think about it a little

I think you got the wrong idea from my post. I've given it thought. I've wanted to go abroad forever and the program is a great opportunity. However, you never know what life will bring which is why I liked the idea that I could just say no if need be.

if anyone here did they program and still receives these emails, can you please lmk your thoughts.
