I was given the position of "Executive Secretary " at my school. I didn’t run, and I don’t love the duties that comes with it, but would it be worth it for my resume? Or to colleges view this position as a glorified assistant? Also, student council members have a couple of perks that I don’t necessarily want to missout on.
What are the responsibilities? Do they pay you? What would you be doing otherwise?
they don’t pay me. I would have to go to all the meetings and take minutes (record the meeting) and make agendas. basically its the most labor intensive job after president, which isn’t really the problem because was wanted to run for president, but secretary doesn’t look as good and its more responsibility than say vp or treasurer.
Otherwise i would run for president of a couple clubs but there is no guarantee I would win, and i could do both.
