Hey guys,

I'm going to be a freshman at NYU this year. I'm in the GLS program and am wondering what courses I should take and in what order.

I'm exempt from the 2 semester writing course (and by that I mean I am able to do it in 1 semester). I want to take Japanese so currently my course list looks like this...

Writing I
Elementary Japanese I
Social Foundations I
Cultural Foundations I

So then next semester I guess I'd be taking Social & Cultural Foundations II, the other cultures course...and...what else? Any ideas? And is it a good idea for me to do the language course my first year or not?

Note: I might try and transfer out of GLS after my first year into CAS..but I'm not sure yet. Also wondering what the process is there. Like, is it easy enough to do or is it a pain? And do I just talk to my advisor or what?

Thanks and sorry for the long post!
