I need a somewhat inexpensive way to just get away from here, completely by myself (meaning no friends or family), for a at least a week or two during the summer.

I actually wished I could go to boarding school for a while, but guess it's too late for that. And I've thought about living with my Dad but there are definitely complications with that.

How old are you? There are a lot of things you can’t do if you’re under 18. Some hotels would rather not have you, certain airlines will make it difficult for you to travel, depending on where you are going.

The best thing you could do, I suppose, is find somewhere to which you can drive and stay in a cheap hotel, or even motel, there. A kitchenette would be good, since eating out gets pricey, but it’s not a necessity. Just don’t stay anywhere sketch.
If you can’t drive, then location is more important, because you need to be a walking distance away from amenities. We can’t tell you where to find these places reasonably close to home without knowing where you live.

Get in on a group trip. There’s plenty out there, from EF Tours and others. Or, go to a college camp. That way, you can get some insight on how it would be to go to that school, while also possibly gaining some credits there. Either one would be a great summer experience.
