Going back to community college to finish prerequisites for new major?

I’m a transfer student, and just recently changed major to biology. I’m all caught up with the biology major but won’t take any biology courses until fall 2018. My current university only offers general biology 1 in fall and general biology 2 in the Spring. Do you think it’s worth it going back to my community college and finish the prerequisites? I have all the support I need at my community college compared to my current college.

I’m right now taking orgnaic chemistry 1 and calculus 2.

Biology requires:
General biology 1and 2
Only calculus 2 (i declare a math minor) should I drop this minor?
Organic chemisty 2 (I declare a chemisty minor)

I have to waste one semester on not taking any biology class if I stayed at my current college.

Update: I would just stay at my current college

Can you get some of the biology in summer school?

Does biology 2 have biology 1 as an absoslute pre-requisite? Do you have a strong bio background from high school? Go speak with the department. You might be ble to take bio 2 this spring and bio 1 next fall.

I was thinking of sitting in as a free student for General biology 1. I did it for Calculus 2 this summer and it helped a lot. Im doing great in calculus 2 right now. Currently have a “B+” my community college doesnt offer general biology 2 in the summer.
