Dear CC,
In a previous post someone referenced an admissions officer stating that “a few words over” in an application essay would be fine. I am curious to know what qualifies “a few words over” a limit. Around 80? 100?
I disagree. Part of the application process is following directions. A few is typically 3 or 4. 80 to 100 seems to be more like dozens.
One of DD’s essays went over by like 8 words. More than 10 I think would be pushing it.
