going to grad school from a non-typical liberal arts college

I go to a small private liberal arts college called St John's. It has a Great Books program and non-traditional way of teaching.
what reputation does it have, and will I be able to go to a good grad school in political science from there (with a GPA of 3.3-3.6 depending on my work in next two years)???

St. John’s has a great reputation for creating scholars. I suggest that you check out the school’s placement in graduate programs; I suspect that a high number of students go on to graduate school.

Yeah, you really should just talk with career services and tutors (especially those who also did their undergraduate work at sjc).

That is public info, so you should know. Also, since you go there, you have access to even better info, so you do the homework, then you tell us. I was always intrigued by that school, how are you liking it? Performance within context always matters for your grad school application.

well st john’s does have a high placement of students into grad programs but usually with some courses taken after graduating.
the school is fantastic for its intellectual activity, it has a very strong academic program.
i am not too happy with the outside of the class activities it offers and there are no study abroad programs. it is a very very small school.
but for what it promises, and that is an excellent liberal education of the mind :), St John’s is the best there is. so for future academics it is perfect, and i hope graduate schools do recognize this.
thanks for replying!!
