Good Academic News From New London

Jamzmom,

See, you send Boodle, someone else sends pharmaceuticals, someone else sends CDs and DVDs, it all adds up to universally happy kids.

I remember one of my fourth graders in Naples once when we were on a picnic. She was trying to talk everyone into creating a community pile of food. She said "My mom says that when you share you get more." Man, they all put their goodies in and it was like the loaves and fishes. More than enough for everyone. I happen to think it is the same in the halls. We all dump whatever makes us feel good to send and what we think our kids would like, and, viola! They all share and there is plenty to go around! But seriously, I wish I had your talent with boodle. Maybe I can stroll down your spanish moss laden liveoak-lined lane to your stately manor house one day and talk you out of a julip while you corral your crazy relations and fill me in on the fine art of boodle. All I got is moose jerky and smoked salmon. And my kid is allergic to the salmon. Oy vey!

Thanks, Jamzmom, for sharing, and I am thinking healthy thoughts for Jamz. And Taffy, you better watch what you wish for, you'll have a ton of stuff if we all jump on the bandwagon! Then you'll have to share it...

And thanks to JM for "hijacking this thread." HA! Just kidding ladeez and gents some good info being put forth. Have a great weekend and stay healthy! Chicken soup works good...oy!

I am the Queen of hijacks. Short attention span. :) Chicken soup has heeled all manner of ills in this household.

Momof1 - Say it isn't so! Allergic to salmon where he's from!? Another oy! Your room is always ready at the "big house" complete with magnolias & moss. Prefer Mimosas over the much favored mint drink tho. I don't like it when my eyes water when I drink something, wuss that I am. You'd think with this Scots blood, whiskey would go down smoothly... Threadjack!

Jamzmom: hows jamz doing anyway? Hopefully they will give him some decongestents if lands in his sinuses- which sounds like it might have. Hard to be a mom when you have a sick kid, no matter how old they get or how far away they are! But mom's remedies are always the best- hot tea, lemon and honey go a long way to soothing a nasty cold!

Thanks for asking Navy2010. He's doing much better. They are getting hammered at the moment so no time to think about being sick. Duty calls.... Busy week-end for the bad boys of 3rd co. So as to not threadjack.... Boss, I need a hug from Granny. Tell her I'll give her ten bucks.

Ok I'll pass that along. Steve and Zac(Utah) had a short so they came home today! I'm spoiled sorry. He has a fairly bad cold too so I guess it's making it's way up the sound.
