Good classes that fulfill liberal education requirements?

Can anyone currently at the U list any lib ed classes that they found interesting, easy, etc.? How about ones that absolutely should not be taken in your opinion? Please explain why.

Engl1401W fulfills WI, GP, and Lit. Dr Hughes is the best professor

Pol1001 and others that I am trying to remember. I am still in h.s. but am taking classes here at the U. Haven’t taken much lib ed since I fulfilled most through Aps

Also, use courserank to help find classes.

^^ Yes! Any English class with Hughes. I took him for 3005W last semester (WI and GP) and it was a pretty easy and interesting class.

the guy is genius; definitely recommend him for any Lit/Engl class here at the U! He also keeps in contact with our class by updating us with info. about guest lecturers and his study abroad program this may.

By the way, avoid:

HSCI 1815 “History of Science: Lavoisier, Darwin, & Newtonian Physics” w/ Michel Jansen

ARTH 3315 “The Age of Curiosity: Europeaqn Art History 1500’s-1700’s” w/ Micheal Gaudio

I took both these classes last semester to fulfill the liberal arts requirements (they both cover two, but I forget which categories) and there was a SUPER clear dividing line between the kids who were there because they wanted to be and the kids who were there because they had to be. Both classes were really difficult and unless you’re actually interested in the obscurity of the stuff covered in those courses, absolutely don’t take.

Any PSTL class is supposed to be easy, with the exception of 1171.
