I'm a high school junior that's thinking about majoring in marketing and minoring in communication/graphics design; I like marketing, but I lean more towards the artistic side. I'm still not 100% certain that I'll be able/it'll be beneficial to tackle these two areas, though I'm really considering it. Is anyone else thinking of going down/has gone down a similar path?

*Quick stats: *
Female and Asian (ofc).
I go to a fairly competitive 1/5 magnet (test in) IB school in MD.
2260 SAT (760 math, 760 CR, 740 writing) -- I'm certain I can step this up to at least a 2300, if not a 2350+, since I didn't really prep.
3.87UW/4.59W GPA with upward trend. Unranked.
2 history APs taken, planning on another 8 this year.
The standard IB/AP set of classes, though I'm behind in that I'm only taking Precalc this year (then AP Calc BC next year).
Some leadership in county SGA, nonprofits, clubs, and such with 450+ hours of volunteering.
I play the piano and viola (just went to All-State Orchestra this weekend... ugh).
School awards for art -- not good enough to get into an extremely prestigious art school, but hopefully proficient enough.
I have a book blog, through which I've worked with various big publishing houses and authors.
Boring other generic clubs. Various small and not astounding awards.
I'm pretty good with essays, but I'm pretty quiet in class, so the recs will probably just be OK.
Money's not an issue.

Basically, I'm really not thinking of applying for HYPS since I highly doubt I'll get in, but I'd still like to go to a top tier school. I've been looking at Carnegie Mellon (though it seems a bit small), WashU, and NYU, though I'm not sure how feasible that major/minor would be in those schools... and I feel like these are all still reaches? I'd also love to go to UPenn = way reach. My other standards are that I'd like to go to a co-ed school that's preferably northern or along the east coast, located in or near a city, and non-religious.

I think in general, I'm just a bit lost and overwhelmed by this whole process and my counselor has way too many students to go one-on-one. So a solid couple safeties and reaches would be greatly appreciated, and I'd love to hear thoughts about the business major/arts minor. Thanks! :)

Edit -- I'm not sure if I should put more detail into my activities. They're kind of a mix of everything from freshman year from now because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. But leadership positions as in:

Started a middle school tutoring club.
EIT for the business section of our school newspaper (and news writer).
Still starting up a non-profit organization, though we've done some small volunteer activities and are currently fundraising.
Secretary and music group director for another non-prof's tutoring trip to rural China.
And I've been in drama, tried It's Academic, tried Model UN, tried a ton of stuff that I then dropped. Which I now regret...
