Hi, I'm a rising high school senior trying to look for colleges where I might be able to double major in graphics design and marketing / advertising / business if need be. If that's not possible then minoring would be ok as well. Actually, if given the choice between the two, which one should I major in if I want to work as part of the creative team in an ad firm? My strong points are in art, so I thought majoring in design would be the better choice but I'm also scared to limit my options like that...

Please help and give any input :)

Female / Asian / NYC
GPA is 89.3% which i'm guessing is about a 3.4 GPA?
SAT : 2100
SAT ii : math2 760 / chem 700 / bio-e 700

I don't have much extra curriculars or sports. I have some volunteer hours here and there (not sure of the exact number actually) and three summers worth of job/intern experience. I DO have a strong (hopefully) art portfolio...which might limit me to applying more to art and design based schools but... :/

Schools I'm most interested in currently...Carnegie Mellon (design + minor in business), Cooper Union (art? design?), School of Visual Arts (advertising)
( Is it possible for me to get into Carnegie Mellon actually? )

I'm not looking for any specifics but I would like to stay near the northeastern area, preferably to stay in NYC if possible. Cheaper is always better, of course.

Thanks for the help! :)
